Customer sailing trip big success
The Frisius van Adel is a three-masted clipper, an historic sailing vessel that slid down the ways in 1906 to sail the seas majestically and – particularly – at great speed. This thanks to its sleek bow lines and no less than ten sails. Over the years many a cargo was loaded and unloaded on the Frisius van Adel. But now the ship can enjoy its retirement and is used for recreational purposes.
The guests had a whole day to enjoy the stately vessel. Getting acquainted didn’t take long. There was little wind but that did nothing to diminish the congeniality. Snacks and drinks were served with flair. After quietly bobbing up and down en route, the Frisius van Adel tied up in picturesque Workum. The company took a short walk through the town. There was a little more wind on the return trip, so the sails could be really hoisted. After the requisite drinks and a first-rate captain’s dinner, the clipper tied up in Stavoren again and the Analytico crew made their farewells. As momento of the day, each and every customer got a bottle of real Frisian ‘Berenburg’ to take home. A very successful day and certainly open to repeats.
