New analyses for Listeria and Salmonella
We innovate continually to provide you with the most modern and best tests. That has led to new tests for Salmonella and Listeria.
Listeria: chromogen-method
To determine Listeria monocytogenes we use a chromogen-plate-method. After the incubation of the sample, we can immediately see on the plate if L.monocytogenes or other Listeria-stems are present. If the sample is a monocytogenes, we still look for extra confirmation of the result via a so-called API-test. With this test, we try to make sure if L.monocytogenes is indeed present. The duration of the analysis, excluding the confirmation, is 48 hours. The analysis is validated for use with food, animal feed and surfaces.
Salmonella: Elisa-method
We primarily used the Vidas to analyse Salmonella. To use our lab capacity more efficiently, we have chosen a new method. With the Elisa-method, we can analyse more samples in one go. Moreover, we can offer this method at a far lower price than the Vidas. The duration of the analysis, excluding the confirmation, is also 48 hours. The analysis is validated for use with food, animal feed and surfaces. Beside this new method, the Salmonella-ICS, our 24-hour-method, is still available.
